STAR CHART

Well over the past few months, with all the change in our lives, Austin has been really hard to manage!! My 1st step was putting him in pre-school...we thought with some structure it would bounce him right back into shape! But after a few weeks we realized that his "good" behavior would be strictly reserved for his teachers who think,(and I quote) "he is the most precious, smart little boy they've seen in a long time!" So back to the drawing board....may I introduce you to the star chart!! I have been reading a highly recommended book to me called The New Dare to Discipline by James Dobson. I am only in the 3rd chapter, but I think this book is going to (fingers crossed) be my, or should I say Austin's saving grace!! I am going to start him on his new Star Chart when we get back from Kansas next week (we are going for Easter!). My only hope is that this sassy, defiant, backing talking that he is doing is just a stage, otherwise, Bryan and I are in for a long journey!!
