Where Did Summer Go??

I have had the busiest summer ever!! It started with my last post, when I flew to KS. in May for my cousin's wedding. Great short weekend there. My mom flew home with me was at my house for a day and then headed to my Bro and SIL's house in CA. to help them pack for their move into their new mc-mansion! Bryan, myself and the kids followed a few days later to join in the festivities!! After that weekend, we came back home, were here for a few days, and then my mom, myself and the kids headed off to TX. We had great time at ''grammy and papa's'' house. We saw old friends, went swimming, shopping, saw movies, and played played played!! Austin and Abbi both were enrolled in a ''mom's day out'' program at one of the churches, and Austin went to vacation bible school with his buddy Jake!! They had a very productive full few weeks in McKinney!! On June 18th myself and the kids headed to KS. Bryan flew into Wichita and we picked him up on the way to my grandparents for 10 days. The kids had a BLAST!! We went over the weekend of Sunflower Days, which is a fair in the town I grew up in that takes place every summer. I saw lots of friends from my childhood and got the chance to introduce them to my hubby and kids....it was great!! The kids rode horses, worked in the garden, caught fireflies every night, went on rides with Pa to check cattle (in no car seats I might add), and just ran around and played in my grandparents HUGE yard!!! On June 28th, we headed back to TX., dropping Bryan back off in Wichita on the way. We spent a week and a half more at my mom's, then my mom, myself and the kids headed back to AZ. On June 25th my new little niece Avery was born (a month early), so for Austin's 5th b-day (July 17th) we decided to celebrate it in CA, so we could meet our new little family member! Austin had a great b-day...he got all kinds of presents and had a super-hero cake! My Aunt, Uncle and cousins also came over from Palm Springs for the occasion. Austin started Kindergarten on August 9th. He was (is) SO excited about this new adventure!! He LOVES to learn and equally loves sharing every bit of his day the way he sees it! :) I just know my little man is gonna be a ''straight A'' student!! Even though we neglected daddy for much of the summer, I know that both Austin and Abbi made some great memories, and I wouldn't change that for the world!!
